Today with friends, a walk from the centre of Chalton, over the M1 and railway bridges, through the Sundon Chalk Pit area, around Upper Sundon calling at Sundon Country Park for the views and a rest, and back again. About 3 hours.
Stupid question of the day: How come Upper Sundon can have flower baskets by its bus stops, but in Houghton Regis we can't?

A well-identified footpath (Chiltern Way) towards Sundon Chalk Pit.
All this will be lost to Sundon Rail Freight Interchange.

The lane has these very tall trees growing along it.
The top of the lane, at Sundon Road is impassable (see below).
Nice to see crops growing - the last time I came here it was winter and muddy.
